This Dates Kheer is a creamy, aromatic Indian rice pudding sweetened naturally with Lion Dates instead of sugar. It's a beloved festive dessert that's now healthier, richer in nutrients, and just as indulgent as the classic version. Serve warm or chilled!

Ingredients
- ¼ cup basmati rice, washed and soaked for 30 mins
- 1 litre full-fat milk
- 8–10 Lion Qyno Deseeded Dates, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp Lion Dates Syrup
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- A few strands of saffron
- 2 tbsp chopped pistachios and almonds for garnish
- 1 tbsp rose water (optional)
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Cook rice: Bring milk to a boil in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add soaked rice and cook on low heat, stirring frequently, for 20–25 minutes until rice is soft and milk thickens.
- Add dates: Stir in the finely chopped deseeded dates and cook for 5 more minutes.
- Sweeten: Add Lion Dates Syrup, cardamom, saffron, and rose water. Stir well.
- Serve: Ladle into bowls and garnish with chopped pistachios and almonds. Serve warm or refrigerate and serve chilled.
