Ingredients
- 2 cups Lion Qyno Deseeded Dates, soaked in 1 cup warm water for 30 mins
- 3 tbsp ghee
- ½ cup mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios), chopped
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- A few strands of saffron (soaked in 2 tbsp warm milk)
- 2 tbsp Lion Dates Paste (for extra richness)
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Blend dates: Blend soaked dates with their soaking water into a smooth paste.
- Cook the paste: Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat. Add the dates paste and cook, stirring continuously, for 10–12 minutes until it thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.
- Add dates paste: Stir in Lion Dates Paste for extra depth of flavour.
- Add flavours: Add cardamom powder and saffron milk. Mix well.
- Add nuts: Fold in most of the chopped nuts, reserving some for garnish.
- Serve: Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with remaining nuts, and serve warm.
