This Dates Barfi is a no-cook, no-sugar Indian sweet that comes together in just 15 minutes. Made with Lion Dates' premium deseeded dates, milk powder, and nuts, it has the classic fudgy texture of barfi with none of the refined sugar. Perfect for Diwali, Eid, or any celebration!

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Lion Qyno Deseeded Dates
  • 1 cup milk powder
  • ½ cup mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios), finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp Lion Dates Paste
  • Edible silver leaf (varak) for garnish (optional)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Blend dates: Process deseeded dates and dates paste in a food processor until a smooth, sticky paste forms.
  2. Mix: In a bowl, combine the dates paste, milk powder, chopped nuts, ghee, and cardamom. Mix until a dough-like consistency forms.
  3. Press into tray: Grease a square tray with ghee. Press the mixture evenly into the tray to about 1 cm thickness.
  4. Garnish: Top with remaining chopped nuts and edible silver leaf if using.
  5. Set: Refrigerate for 1 hour until firm.
  6. Cut & serve: Cut into diamond or square shapes and serve.
