Date Walnut Bread

This isn't your average loaf – it's a gut-loving powerhouse disguised as a delicious treat!   • 1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour (for extra fiber)
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Pitted Lion Kimia Dates, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts, chopped
  • 3/4 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 1/4 cup Melted Coconut Oil
  • 2 Large Eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk (plant-based milk of your choice)
  • 1 tsp Lion Dates Syrup
  • Calories: 300-350
  • Carbohydrates: 40-45g
  • Protein: 5-7g
  • Fat: 15-20g (healthy fats from walnuts and coconut oil)
  • Fiber: 5-7g
  • Sugar: 20-25g (natural sugar from dates & dates syrup)
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the loaf pan with melted butter or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine chopped dates, walnuts, applesauce, melted coconut oil, beaten eggs, almond milk, and dates syrup.
  4. Mix the wet & dry ingredients until it is all well- combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Let it bake for 50-60 minutes. Check them by inserting a toothpick into the center, and whether it comes out clean or not.
  7. Let the Date Walnut bread cool slightly in the pan, and then move it to a wire rack to cool completely.
