Badam halwa

If you're looking for a delicious and healthy dessert that will satisfy your cravings, look no further than badam halwa! It is traditional indian dessert made from badam,ghee and sugar and usually served during the festive season.

  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1/2 cup normal water
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon saffron strands
  • 1/3 cup ghee
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Step 1: Take a 1/2 cup almonds and rinse in hot water for 30 minutes orelse you can soak it overnight in water.
  • Step 2: Next remove the outer layer of badam and add badam,water in a blender and grind it to make a fine paste.
  • Step 3: Take a non stick pan or highly thickened bottom pan and apply some ghee,add the badam paste and sugar.
  • Step 4: Cook the badam paste in a medium heat for 30-45 minutes and if you find hard to stir the mixture then add some ghee.
  • Step 6: Once the badam halwa is ready and mix one tablespoon milk,saffron in a small bowl and pour it to the badam halwa and mix it well.
  • Step 7: Finally switch off the stove and transfer the badam halwa into medium sized bowl.Either you can serve the hot badam halwa or you can refrigerate it for 30 minutes and taste it.
  • Protip: You can also serve the badam halwa with vanilla ice cream 🍨,this is yummy and so delicious to taste.
